Hehe! SCENE After first period. JOE’S POV I started walking to my English class and I was glad Demi was going to be there. I wondered how she’s doing. Did she break down? Ruin it? Whatever. I opened the door to the classroom and sat down at my desk. I reached into my backpack to find a pencil, and as I was shuffling through my bags, I heard the door open. I ignored it, but then I saw a flurry of curly hair. I felt a huge force knock me over, and I was on the floor. “JOE!” Demi shouted. I looked up, and Demi had run me over. I was on the floor and my chair was gone. I looked up at her, and I felt like I couldn’t breath. She looked so normal, so beautiful. “Oh my God, you knocked me down!” I laughed. I let my mind wander why she would knock me over, but then I realized both of her arms were grasping my neck. She saw me look at her arms and blushed furiously. “I missed you.” she laughed and I grabbed her legs, and stood up. I supported her legs with my arm and smiled. I was holding her bridal style. This was so awesome. She kept a tighter grip on my neck and pulled me closer. She escaped my grip on her and she wrapped her legs around my waist. Wow. Her arms were around my neck, and her legs were around my lower waist. “I missed you too!” I hugged her and smiled. I couldn’t believe how far we’ve gotten. I heard the door open and I heard books drop on the floor. I let go of Demi. Selena was standing there with her mouth wide open in awe. “Um…Selena…” Demi started. “You

The In Between

Chapter 1

Life is either black or white, period. To me there were no grey areas. There were no ‘should a, could a, would a’. You did or you didn’t, it was or it wasn’t. You know or you don’t. I lived my life on impulse and I left no room for questions.
If you asked me a question such as, “What are you doing for your seventeenth birthday Tiffany?”
I would have responded with, “Sitting at home with some home-made ice-cream and watch re-runs of Sanford and Son.” Whether I was or I wasn’t. That’s just the way it is.
I wasn’t always like this, it just happened over time. And if you asked, “If you could go back and change the way you are, would you?”
I would answer with, “No, it is supposed to be this way. Everything happens for a reason.” Either I would change again over time or I wouldn’t.
I don’t do ‘what if’s’; and it frustrated me to no end when people asked.
“What if we go to the Bistro for dinner tonight instead of staying home?” my mother asked as she flipped thru Fine Homes Magazine.
“Do you want to stay in tonight?” I asked as she looked up at me and pushed the magazine aside.
“Well, no, not really…”
“Do you want to go to the Bistro?”
“Yes,”
“Then it’s settled. We go to the Bistro for dinner.” I said as I stood up. My mother looked annoyed. She hated when I did that.
“You’re always so final. Don’t you ever wonder about things for a moment?”
“No.” I said without thinking. She rolled her eyes at me and grabbed her car keys.
“Fine. Go get your father from his study. I’ll meet you in the car.” She said as she walked out the kitchen and out the front door. I got up and went down the hall to my fathers study/ office.
I knocked on his door twice and when he didn’t answer I let myself in. He had his chair turned away from me facing the window that overlooked the lake. All I saw was his sandy blond hair.
“Dad,” he swiveled around to face me looking half sleep. “You know mom hates it when you sleep in here.” He just smiled at me.
“I know. So what’s up?” he asked as he organized some of his papers on the desk.
“Mom wants to go to the Bistro, you coming?” he looked up at me with his blue-grey eyes that I had inherited.
“Who made the decision?” he asked with a smile.
“Me. She brought it up. She didn’t feel like cooking. I know this otherwise she wouldn’t have asked.” My father knew all too well how I was. “Are you going?”
“Yeah sure, why not?” he said as he got up. He came over to me and put his arm around me and walked me out the door hitting the light switch on our way out.
Every time my dad had his skin against mine I couldn’t help but to see the major difference. His white skin was a shocking contrast to my more melanin enhanced dark-brown skin. But there was no denying he was my father. The blue-grey eyes the long hair that had two natural streaks of blond in it and his height. I felt like a giraffe.
But at the same time I looked like my mother. Her dark complexion, her dark brown hair slightly nappy with out a relaxer, her build and her facial features.
“What took you two so long?” my mother asked as we approached the Hummer.
“A minute is long to you if you’re the one waiting.” My father said as he opened the back door for me to get in. “So I take it I’m the one driving?”
“I would think so since I’m not in the driver’s seat.”
“But I have no clue as to where the Bistro is.” He said as he slid in and shut his door. “And you’re not good with directions.” He was right about that. We had gotten stuck in the middle of nowhere when we were going cross-country to visit my mom’s side of the family in Shreveport, Louisiana. My father had let my mom drive when he got tired. We wound up St. Louis, Missouri the next day. At least that’s when my father invested in a GPS navigation system.
“Tiffany, do you know where it is?”
“Yes.” I said without hesitation. My father pulled out the drive way while I did my roll as back-seat-driver.

You are probably too young to remember:
Travelgate
the ransacking of Vince Foster’s office
her involvement in the various bimbo cover-ups
the stealing of the whitehouse furniture
illegal campagn contributions from the communist chinese
Bills pardoning of criminals who were their supporters without the aproval of the Justice Department
Her statement that the Monica Lewinsky scandal was part of "a vast right wing conspiracy"
Insider trading with Tyson
Whitewater
her health care reform failure
reports from secret service agents and many others of
her rude demeaning attitude
and many other sleazy dealings in the Clinton white house.

A lot of us would really like to know exactly what was on those papers that Sandy Burger stuffed under his clothes and stole from the national archive.

Personally I can’t escape the feeling that she stayed with her adulterous husband purely out of politcal expediancy. And I’m not just talking about Lewinsky but all the other bimbos back as far as Bill’s time in Arkansas.

It almost makes me vomit to see Bill Clinton running around the country campaigning after being impeached and dis-barred from the supreme court and his own state

Dear Friend,

Anyone that’s watched the news in the past few days knows that health insurance reform is a hot topic — and that rumors and scare tactics have only increased as more people engage with the issue. Given a lot of the outrageous claims floating around, it’s time to make sure everyone knows the facts about the security and stability you get with health insurance reform.

That’s why we’ve launched a new online resource — WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck — to help you separate fact from fiction and share the truth about health insurance reform. Here’s a few of the reality check videos you can find on the site:
CEA Chair Christina Romer details how health insurance reform will impact small businesses.
Domestic Policy Council Director Melody Barnes tackles a nasty rumor about euthanasia and clearly describes how reform helps families.
Matt Flavin, the White House’s Director of Veterans and Wounded Warrior Policy, clears the air about Veteran’s benefits.
Kavita Patel, M.D., a doctor serving in the White House’s Office of Public Engagement, explains that health care rationing is happening right now and how reform gives control back to patients and doctors.
Bob Kocher, M.D., a doctor serving on the National Economic Council, debunks the myth that health insurance reform will be financed by cutting Medicare benefits.
There’s more information and a number of online tools you can use to spread the truth among your family, friends and other social networks. Take a look:http://www.whitehouse.gov/realitycheck/?e=10&ref=image

We knew going into this effort that accomplishing comprehensive health insurance reform wasn’t going to be easy. Achieving real change never is. The entrenched interests that benefit from the status quo always use their influence in Washington to try and keep things just as they are.

But don’t be misled. We know the status quo is unsustainable. If we do nothing, millions more Americans will be denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions, or see their coverage suddenly dropped if they become seriously ill. Out-of-pocket expenses will continue to soar, and more and more families and businesses will be forced to deal with health insurance costs they can’t afford.

That’s the reality.

Americans deserve better. You deserve a health care system that works as well for you as it does for the status quo; one you can depend on — that won’t deny you coverage when you need it most or charge you crippling out-of-pocket co-pays. Health insurance reform means guaranteeing the health care security and stability you deserve.

President Barack Obama promised he’d bring change to Washington and fix our broken, unsustainable health insurance system. You can help deliver that change. Visit WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck, get the facts and spread the truth. The stakes are just too high to do nothing.

So what do you think?

I am looking to purchase a mix of black and white furniture which I have already picked out. I am getting a black desk with a small white 2 or 3-drawer chest to go under it and off to the side with black inserts inside the drawers. I got a black chair and a white tabletop stand that will sit on my desk. I also have a white bedframe and a white dresser. I will be getting black shelves above the white bed, and a white shelving unit above the black desk.

My question is what color should I paint the walls of this room (leaving the ceiling white) and also, what color carpet should I get? My room is extremely small and has been dull for years so I want something to make it peaceful and enjoyable to study in and relax. I saw on the Ikea website a calm blue colored wall that went nice with black and white picture frames that I thought might make the room look relaxing. I am getting my room painted in about 5 days so please, any comments/advice will be helpful!
I forgot to mention, I love the comments below about the unique colors to paint the walls but I am a male so I would like to avoid colors like purple, and lilac. Keep coming with the suggestions and thanks to those who have already commented!
What about the carpet color? I mentioned that above but I believe it was overlooked due to the topic of my question.

Seth: I’m interested in the color you picked out, any suggestions on the carpet? What color carpet do you have in the room you mentioned that is similar to the furniture colors that I have? Can you e-mail me a picture by any chance? iencorei@yahoo.com

hacking the Sony HDR-CX550 camcorder

this camcorder is perfectly capable of achieving an accurate image, but no… Sony has to mess with the contrast and white out highlights and black out the shadows! the color space is also purposely off set, the greens are lacking red and and red is lacking green and the yellow is to red… it only took me a few minutes to correct the off set picture quality, so as I said before, Sony is doing this on purpose. “no color correction was made in this video” this is only showing the difference in brightness/contrast.

(I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LENGTH, BUT IT’S IMPORTANT)

I am currently an American student living in Germany. In one of my classes–a German class–the instructor there exercises little to no control over the students. Aside from other people talking during classtime and preventing me from hearing the instructor, there were two particularly outrageous students (both of them Turkish, curiously).

One of them would display bizarre antics such as waving his rear end in people’s faces, repeatedly thumping the person’s ear sitting in front of him all throughout class, kissing students–both women AND men!!!–or picking them up and tossing them over his shoulder. Once during class, he grabbed a girl’s hand and started licking it! The instructor would only laugh and say, "You’re so crazy!"

The other student immediately established himself as the class enforcer–coming in everyday and demanding to see if students had done their homework, telling people to "shut up and sit down," constantly interrupting and correcting other people’s German grammar while they spoke, yelling out "WRONG!" in German anytime anyone stated an incorrect answer. He then took it a step further–if a person was sitting in a chair he wanted, he would simply move their books and belongings to another desk, and then physically remove the person from the seat! It was only when he tried to physically remove me from me from my seat and I broke a glass soda bottle over his head that he got the hint that the red white and blue isn’t a creed that takes kindly to being pushed around.

After the incident with the bottle, I went to the main office and filed a formal complaint against the instructor that she was maintaining no control over the students, and outlined the inexcusable behavior I witnessed. Apparently, the instructor was reprimanded because she came to me shortly afterwards and said, "Why would you do something like that to me? What did I ever do to you? Why couldn’t you just come talk to me? Do you realize I have children that need to be fed, and you jeopardize my job filing complaints against me? Why couldn’t you just talk to me? Just so you know, I filed a complaint against YOU for cracking that joke about me having the swine flu since it wasn’t true at all, and I felt insulted…and everytime you so much as sneeze, I’m filing a complaint!"

So my question was…was it mean and unprofessional to make a complaint? She’s truly upset and angry at me, but I felt I had to do something–this situation was getting out of hand to the point where things were getting physical! I signed up to that class to learn German, not learn street fighting techniques!

Psychiatric treatment????

A man walks into the office of the eminent psychiatrist Dr. Von Bernuth, and sits down to explain his problem.
"Doctor, well, you see, I’ve got this problem," the man continued. "I keep hallucinating that I’m a dog. A large, white, hairy Great Pyrenees dog. It’s crazy. I don’t know what to do!"

"A common canine complex," said the Doctor soothingly. "Come over here and lie down " The man gets up and walks over to the couch and lies down"
“Oh no” says the Doctor. “Not allowed on the furniture."

I just received yet ANOTHER propaganda email from the WH. So this is what they do when you write in to complain. Did anyone else get this one:
